I'll mention just one:
Yes, the KKK was associated with the Dixiecrats, i.e. hyper-conservative Southern Democrats. As I'm sure you well know, they left the Democrats and joined the Republicans... quite a long time ago. So, to conflate the current Democrats with those of the distant past is absurd. It would be like improving how Trump looks by comparing him to Eisenhower (or, indeed, denigrating Eisenhower by pointing out he was in the party of Trump).
In reality, any district that has ever had an active chapter of the KKK in it still disproportionately votes GOP.
