"March for Life"

He was voted in on the back of the pro-birth movement's support; of course he was there. That is not a good thing. At all.

These people are almost all religious zealots with barely a grasp on reality, who demand that all embryos be born but remove any support for their existence as human beings (with all the dignity that entails) beyond that. They were prepared to overlook everything un-Christian about Trump to have him roll back Roe v. Wade... mostly because they're just as un-Christian as he is. No care for the poor, no concern for human life (though they masquerade as being exactly that).

"Frankly, you can go on about empathy, but I want a POTUS who gets America, recognises America's greatness and its moral and social preeminence and gets stuff done accordingly. He's not an empathetic man. That doesn't bother me."

Thanks particularly to Trump, but also the last 40 years of ignoring your increasing lack of pre-eminence, America is now a laughing stock. The US is sliding down the world rankings in every metric of a healthy and functioning society and bounding up the rankings in every metric of a dysfunctional one.

The GOP just voted to acquit a man of inciting a riot when the whole world saw him do exactly that, in real-time.

The US meddles in other people's democracies (sometimes turning them into dictatorships) to suit political expediency and US goals, when, in reality, America is an increasingly failed experiment in what was never even a democracy to begin with.

The recent turn to fascism makes this abundantly clear.

The only people that believe in American exceptionalism any more are Americans, primarily those that have never been to another country... and the politicians that pander to them.
