I think you have proved the point of the orignal article. To take your numbered list and point out what you seemed to have missed (or are glossing over):

1. "Law and Order" is a well-known racist dog-whistle. When he sends in the troops he merely escalates an exsting situation which allows him to point to the protesters and paint them in a worse light. If you think that going back to how things were before - with some police abusing (and sometimes killing) people with relative impunity, then that is not a peace/normal that should be restored.

2. He outright praised Kyle Rittenhouse for killing two (peaceful) BLM protesters, and minimised the violence of the right elsewhere (there were fine people on both sides).

3. MAGA is not a core American value, it is a failure to recognise failure. The only values that Donald Trump invokes are the ones that he can use to keep the status quo: transfer of wealth upwards.
