Hmmmm, the most obvious issue is the simple fact that California is one of the largest economies in the world in its own right. Meanwhile, much of the South relies on receiving federal taxes to cover costs, so it seems as if you're way off beam on the economics.

As to FreedomRadio, is this based on Fox "News", the news channel so bad that people who don't watch any news are better informed? Or any of the rest of the Right-wing media landscape that, with a few notable exceptions, just ignored Trumps 30,000+ lies?
